Where can someone like me my start yoga practice?

Question by Raphial Lee: Where can someone like me my start yoga practice? I mean is there a web sight that has posses from beginner to advance. I know the risk of Taking you I mean people who developed back problems for not doing it properly. I want to train myself online. I know people gets injured doing it that way but I did a little of yoga for my back and abs but I careful. Question when you stretch your arms or legs in the air or on the side do you stretch it as for as you can or a little and how long do you stretch out your arms and leg? Best answer:

    Well it can’t hurt to take a class or two on it, just to get the positions right. As for the stretching, I learned in a yoga class that when you do stretch you do it at your comfort level. You do not try to push yourself too much basically.

    you stretch it as far as you are comfortable, you dont do anything that feels ‘wrong’ or painful
    we usuallyknow the difference between a bit of a stretch and something really sore, so you listen to that

    you generally start by stretching your body to be more flexible, you dont just go straight into the complicated moves,
    its like anything, you have to practice and get used to it and get better before you go to the complicated moves

    if youve not done any excerise at all, then you should really get your body used to it first,
    so just do lots of stretches and sort of pre excersise before you actually excersise

    the way i am doing it is learning how to just get into the positions, get used to the names, what they do, and then get better at the specific parts of it, and then add more
    thats working for me, as long as you dont push yourself too far you should be ok

    i ithink a lot of peopole think its supposed to hurt, and thats why they keep going when it does, its not, its supposed to stretch you and make your body feel that, but its not supposed to make you feel any ‘pain’
    that and i think they dont stretch before, thinking it IS the stretch, its not, its the excersise
    you stretch first, you cant just jump into it you will hurt yourself that way
